Þórdís, daughter of Ingimundur, lived at Kornsá with her husband Þorgrímur. Their son Þorgrímur became chieftain of Kárnsá. His illegitimate son was Þorkell krafla, who was raised by Þórir “Goat-thigh.”

A pagan burial mound found in 1879 at Kornsá contained unusually abundant grave goods including a cauldron, scissors, a loom-beater, two bronze brooches, a bell, pincers and a needle. The bone and grave goods confirm that this was the grave of a woman: perhaps Þórdís, Ingimundur’s daughter.
